Sapete che volevo scrivere questo post da quando ho aperto il mio "Macinino Magico Blog?" ^_^

E' dedicato a tutte le ragazze di ogni età, che indossano taglie curvy e extra large: conosco i vostri problemi nel trovare negozi italiani che sappiano vestire le vostre curve e quindi vi dirò i nomi e le marche che finalmente vi faranno tornare il sorriso quando farete shopping!
Inoltre, vedrete che anche il vostro portafogli sorriderà, perché ho selezionato negozi che vendono abiti per tutte le tasche. A questo aspetto tengo particolarmente: noi curvy girls siamo spesso a dieta oppure prendiamo velocemente qualche chilo e quindi mi domando: "Perché spendere un mucchio di soldi in costosi vestiti di famose marche oversize, quando ancora la nostra taglia sta oscillando?" Meglio vestiti carini che non costino troppo e che non ci faranno piangere sul "denaro versato" quando non dovessero entrarci più oppure starci troppo larghi.

Pronte? Siete incuriosite al punto giusto? Allora seguitemi: faremo un giro virtuale di negozi, dai meno costosi a quelli più chic, ma sempre abbordabili!

1. I NEGOZI CINESI
Benché la maggior parte dei capi possa essere indossata solo da cinesine magre come libellule, se cercate bene potrete trovare, in alcuni negozi del Sol Levante, maglie XXXL e jeans fino alla taglia 60.
Mi permetto solo di mettervi in guardia sulla qualità dei coloranti di certi capi: scegliete possibilmente abiti chiari, perché le tinte scure tendono purtroppo a trasferirsi sulla pelle con la possibilità di creare allergie. Quindi, se proprio volete un capo scuro, lavatelo molto bene con un detersivo che fissa il colore, prima di indossarlo.

2. PIAZZA ITALIA  

                         

Ultimamente, questo negozio sta diventando il mio preferito. Come suggerisce anche il nome, si tratta di una "grande bancarella" dove si può trovare proprio di tutto.
I capi sono giovani, i colori e le forme divertenti.
Ho provato un vestito invernale di un verde petrolio brillante, qualche giorno fa e penso proprio che lo prenderò, sperando che non siano rimaste solo le taglie XXL e XXXL, visto che ce ne erano e pure tante!

3. SUPERMERCATI

Sono la vera sorpresa degli ultimi tempi. Catene come Auchan, Carrefour, Simply hanno il loro angolino curvy in cui comprare cose davvero sfiziose: maglie con belle stampe, tute comode e colorate, ecc. Le marche che dovrete cercare sono "Tex" e "In Extenso": durano i secoli, i lavaggi non le rovinano e il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo.

Gli abiti precedenti sono stati indossati con sotto la lingerie modellante OROBLU (in merceria)
Comodissima e di sicuro effetto: unica pecca: schiaccia un po' il seno.

4. TAKKO FASHION

E' un negozio in cui consiglio di ficcanasare di tanto in tanto: in generale tiene taglie "regolari", ma poi un giorno appare una giacchina di jeans perfetta per una pin-up di 80 chili (come me!). Anche jeans e magliette dalle taglie generose spuntano come funghi qua e là in tutte le stagioni e la loro marca è "Colours of the World". Quindi... occhi ben aperti!

5. OVIESSE

Qui si può fare uno shopping bello ricco e soddisfacente! Ogni settimana o due, arrivano capi nuovi, quindi se non trovate niente che fa per voi una volta, vi consiglio di tornarci una seconda.
Oviesse ha un reparto curvy MOLTO interessante e vario: dai vestiti per le giovani ai capi più seri per signora. Inoltre, anche il reparto pre-maman offre capi molto carini che vanno più che bene a noi veneri cicciottelle.
Oviesse offre, secondo me, le taglie più oversize che possiate trovare in un negozio di abbigliamento "regolare".

6. CONBIPEL

Adesso entriamo in un ambito un po' più chic, ma, se saprete tenere d'occhio i periodi di saldi e sconti, potrete trovare degli abiti molto belli.
Conbipel arriva generalmente a vestire una taglia 48, ma certi capi calzano bene fino alla 52.
Se vi piacciono i modelli stile anni '50 e '60 per giovani donne tondette e in carriera, è il negozio che fa per voi!

7. DESIGUAL

Non potevo non menzionarlo, perché è il mio negozio preferito!
Lo stile è estremamente giovane, colorato e psichedelico e veste soprattutto taglie small e medie. Però...c'è un "però"! Molte maglie, gonne e abiti hanno tagli comodi e entrano e donano anche a modelle più formosette.
I prezzi sono alti, ma non vi preoccupate: al massimo troverete un capo o due che vi starà veramente, ma veramente bene e vi potrete concedere questa follia!

OOAK Barbie "Little Magical Witch" part 2: Halloween hat tutorial

Bentrovati amici e followers! Halloween si sta avvicinando e questo post cade proprio al momento giusto! Infatti questa volta voglio condividere con voi il metodo con cui ho realizzato il cappello da strega per la mia OOAK Barbie Sarah, che voi conoscete già come "Little Magical Witch". 

Ecco il cappello da strega di gomma della Mattel, che ha ispirato la mia creazione.

Welcome back friends and followers! Halloween is approaching and this post comes at the right time! In fact, this time I will share with you the method I used to make a witch hat for my OOAK Barbie Sarah, whom you already know as "Little Magical Witch".

Here's the rubber witch hat by Mattel, that inspired my creation.

E questo è il cappello di stoffa che ho realizzato io e che realizzerete anche voi se seguirete i semplici passi del mio tutorial. Che ne dite? E' venuto carino, no? Così stregonesco, ma anche romantico!

And this is the fabric hat that I made and that you'll create, too if you follow the simple steps of my tutorial. What do you think? It's come out cute, hasn't it? So witchy, but also romantic!

Prima di partire con il tutorial, vi racconto con una piccola gif animata come ho sciolto i boccoli a Sarah. Infatti, col cappello pronto, non poteva continuare a portare quegli ingombranti bigodini: era ora di toglierli! (avete notato il vestito riposto sul manichino? Lo posso togliere e mettere a volontà, perché nessun abito che io confeziono è mai incollato alla bambola: il concetto di giocabilità, anche nel collezionismo, per me è importante!)

Before starting the tutorial, I will tell you with a small animated gif how I disbanded Sarah's curls. In fact, her hat ready, she could not continue to carry those bulky curlers: it was time to take them off! (have you noticed the dress pinned on the mannequin? I can remove it and replace it on Sarah at will, because no dress that I sew is ever glued to the doll: the concept of playability, even in Collecting, is important for me!)

Il mio sorridente faccione vi dice: "Ok, la colla per puzzle è l'ideale per fissare le pettinature delle vostre Barbie!"

Infatti assomiglia tantissimo alla colla usata dalla Mattel quando deve fissare pettinature un po' complicate o comunque che devono tenere una certa posa.

As a matter of fact, it is very similar to the glue used by Mattel when they must fix complicated hairstyles, or any hairstyle who needs to take a certain pose.

E' liquida e si stende in modo facile con l'aiuto del pennello e si indurisce in una giornata. La cosa bella è che, se volete, si toglie lavando semplicemente i capelli con l'acqua.

Voilà! Con i sottili boccoli fissati e il cappello, Sarah si avvia a diventare una vera streghetta!

And now back to you: if you want to make a hat like this for your Barbie dolls, just follow the step by step tutorial I made exclusively for my blog's friends!

Innanzitutto salvate l'immagine qui sotto e ingranditela con la fotocopiatrice o con un programma di fotoritocco finché avrete un cartamodello le cui dimensioni saranno le stesse che ho scritto io. 

First. save the image below and enlarge it with a photocopier or a photo editing program until you have a pattern whose size will be the same that I wrote.

Prendete un cartoncino leggero, tipo quello dei pacchi di merendine e aiutandovi col cartamodello ritagliate un cerchio, con un buco ovale.

Poi prendete della stoffa, possibilmente elastica, e ritagliate un cerchio leggermente più grande di quello di cartoncino. Io qui l'ho colorata di viola, ma corrisponderebbe alla stoffa nera del cappello di Sarah.

Take a light card, like the one of snack packages and, with the help of the pattern, cut out a circle, with an oval hole. 

Then take the fabric, preferably elastic, and cut out a circle, that has to be slightly larger than the cardboard. Here I've colored the fabric in purple, but it would correspond to the black fabric of Sarah's hat.

Prendete del fil di ferro sottile e create un cerchio che passerà tutto intorno alla base di cartoncino.
Incollate la stoffa aderente al cartoncino,come vedete nel disegno, in modo da bloccare il fil di ferro.

Take a thin iron wire and create a circle that will go all around the base of the card. 
Glue the fabric tight to the card, as you can see in the drawing, in order to secure the wire.

Aiutatevi con delle mollette per incollare fortemente il lembo di stoffa attorno al cartoncino e andate a farvi un giro: dovete aspettare che la colla sia asciutta per continuare!

Help yourself with clips to paste strongly the flap of fabric around the cardboard and then, have a break: you have to wait until the glue is dry to continue!

Quando tutto sarà asciutto la falda del cappello si presenterà così come vedete qui sotto. A questo punto tagliate a croce la stoffa che si vede attraverso il buco.

When everything is dry the brim of the hat will look like this as you can see below. At this point, cross cut the fabric that you see through the hole.

Noi stiamo lavorando sul "sotto" del cappello, cioè la parte a contatto coi capelli. Nascondiamo gli antiestetici lembi incollati sotto, incollando su di essi e sul cartoncino un cerchio di stoffa, lievemente più piccolo del cerchio che abbiamo.

We are working on the part under the hat, which is in contact with the hair. Let's hide the unsightly flaps pasted below, pasting on them and on the cardboard a circle of cloth, slightly smaller than the circle we have.

All'altezza del taglio a croce che abbiamo praticato sulla stoffa viola, pratichiamo uno stesso taglio a croce sulla stoffa rossa.

At the height of the cross-cut that we practiced on the purple cloth, we practice the same cross cut on the red cloth.

Girate la falda del cappello (infatti ora stiamo lavorando sulla parte piatta del cappello da strega) e aprite bene i lembi che si sono formati grazie ai tagli a croce.

Turn the brim of the hat (in fact, we are now working on the flat part of the witch's hat) and open your flaps that were formed due to the cross-cuts.

E' giunto il momento di farci aiutare dalla nostra amica Sarah in questa fase della lavorazione. Coprite la testa della bambola con della pellicola trasparente da cucina e infilatele la falda del cappello. I tagli a croce tenderebbero a sfilarsi, così noi li bloccheremo con la colla vinilica e lasceremo in posa finché questa non si sarà asciugata. Nel frattempo però, potrete dare forma alla falda del cappello grazie al fil di ferro che corre tutt'intorno: un po' ondulato sul davanti e piegato in basso sul retro.

It's time to get help from our friend Sarah at this stage of processing. Cover the doll's head with some plastic wrap and insert the head in the hole of the hat. Mentre la colla si asciuga potete dedicarvi alla parte a punta del cappello. Con l'aiuto del cartamodello avrete tagliato una forma che cucita di lato darà un cono. Ricordandovi che stiamo lavorando sulla parte interna del cono e che poi sarà rovesciato, appoggiate un segmento di fil di ferro tra i due lembi che avanzano dopo la cucitura. arricciate le estremità di questo segmento in modo che successivamente non possa bucare la stoffa.

While the glue is drying, you can dedicate to the tip of the hat. With the help of the pattern you will cut a shape. that sewn to the side will give a cone. Remember that we are working on the inside of the cone and then it will be turned inside out. Put a segment of wire between the two flaps which remain after sewing. Curl the ends of this segment, so that later it won't pierce the fabric.

Con una cucitura a mano, bloccate il fil di ferro "a sandwich", tra i lembi dentro i quali l'avevate posizionato. Poi, con molta delicatezza rovesciate il cono di stoffa in modo che il tutto resti dentro e che si veda un semplice cono di stoffa che ha una cucitura all'interno.

With a hand sewing, lock the wire "sandwiched" between the flaps inside which you had placed it. Then, very gently turn the cone inside out, so that all that remains inside and you will see a simple cone of fabric that has a seam on the inside.

Infine con dei punti molto piccoli fissate il cono alla falda del cappello. Nascondete i punti con un nastro o con un cinturino e piegate un po' la punta del cappello grazie al fil di ferro che vi è cucito dentro.

Finally, with very small stitches attach the cone to the brim of the hat. Hide the stitches with a belt or a ribbon and bend a little the tip of the hat thanks to the iron wire that is sewn inside.

Ed eccovi il risultato finale: vi auguro che le vostre streghette siano radiose come la mia Sarah, una volta indossato il tipico cappello da strega di Halloween!

Aspettate. Forse mi sono lasciata trasportare un po' troppo dalla fantasia!
Però è vero che vi può capitare di essere invitate a cena e volere andarci sentendovi belle anche se circondate da amiche più magre di voi. E dato che un invito a cena può capitare all'improvviso, vi saranno utili questi 5 piccoli/grandi consigli per apparire più magre e più belle agli occhi di tutti gli invitati.

Sebbene questo sia un consiglio valido nella maggioranza dei casi della vita(!), qui vi sta ad indicare quanto una testa ordinata può comunicare piacevolezza, adombrando quei... fastidiosi... rotolini... sui fianchi!
Se avete 1 giorno per prepararvi
Lavatevi i capelli.
Può sembrare un consiglio sciocco, ma... non accontentatevi di avere "capelli decenti, che sono ancora puliti". Se sapete che i vostri capelli sono più lucenti e meno crespi ad un giorno dal lavaggio, lavateli il giorno prima, altrimenti, lavateli il giorno stesso e dedicate un po' di tempo a renderli soffici, oppure ricci o anche lisci. insomma a dare loro l'aspetto più bello che possono avere. Che abbiate i capelli corti, fini. grigi, radi ecc. ecc., averli puliti vi renderà sicuramente più piacevoli e anche voi vi sentirete meglio.
Se avete più giorni per prepararvi
Andate dalla parrucchiera e lasciatevi consigliare su quale sia il taglio che più si addice alla vostra intera figura: testa e corpo.

1. USE YOUR HEAD  
Although this is a valid suggestion in the majority of cases in life (!), here it wants to put a stress on how much a neat head can communicate pleasure, overshadowing those...annoying... rolls...on the hips!  
If you have one day to prepare yourself 
Wash your hair. 
It may sound like a silly advice, but ... do not be content to have "decent hair, that is still clean." Otherwise, wash it the same day and spend some time to give it the most beautiful aspect it may have. Whether your hair could be short, fine, gray, thinning etc.. etc.., having it clean will make you more pleasant and you will feel better, too.
If you have several days to prepare yourself
Go to the hairdresser and accept advices about the cut that could mostly suit your entire figure: head and body.

 
2. METTETECI LA FACCIA
La faccia è la prima cosa che la gente nota di noi. Certo, se siete ingrassate in poco tempo di 30 chili come me, da lontano si noterà la vostra tonda silhouette, ma, credetemi, da vicino la gente osserverà soprattutto il vostro viso.
Se avete 1 giorno per prepararvi
Vi consiglio di fare una pulizia del viso con uno crema scrub delicata (a volte basta una spugnetta appena ruvida) il pomeriggio del giorno della cena. Appliacate subito dopo un velo di crema idratante e fatela assorbire massaggiando delicatamente con i polpastrelli: godetevi il trattamento!
Se non siete amanti del trucco, vi basterà avere un viso fresco e pulito, con appena un po' di burrocacao sulle labbra.
Ma se volete che il vostro viso sia protagonista, non buttatevi su un trucco troppo elaborato o con colori sgargianti che provate per la prima volta: con poco tempo a vostra disposizione, mantenetevi sulle tonalità naturali del marrone, giocando sul chiaro-scuro. Stendete il rimmel sulle ciglia e allungatele per avere uno sguardo da "Bambi" e mettete un rossetto chiaro, di una tonalità appena più scura delle vostre labbra.
Se avete più giorni per prepararvi
Fate esperimenti col make-up che vi piace di più! Osate, ma non scadete mai nel pagliaccesco: un viso largo e cicciottello rischia di involgarirsi con troppo trucco. Rimanete sempre leggere, ma divertitevi a mescolare le nuances che riprenderete poi nel vestito.
Vi ricordo: se avete intenzione di mettere un rossetto molto vistoso, alleggerite il trucco sugli occhi e viceversa. 

2. PUT YOUR FACE ON IT

I recommend you do a facial cleansing with a mild scrub cream (sometimes just a slightly rough sponge would do) on the afternoon of the day of the dinner. After the light scrubbing, appliacate a thin layer of moisturizer and let it soak massaging gently with your fingertips: enjoy the treatment!  
If you are not fond of makeup, you can just have a fresh and clean face, with just a little bit of lip balm on your lips. But if you want your face to be the protagonist, do not show off with a too elaborate make-up or with flashy colors that you are trying for the first time: with little time available, keep on the natural shades of brown, playing with lights and shadows. Roll the mascara on the lashes and elongate them to have a "Bambi" look . Finally, put a light lipstick, just a shade darker than your lips.  
If you have several days to prepare  
Experiment with the make-up that you like best! Do dare, but do not ever fall into clownish: a broad and chubby face tends to laps into vulgarity with too much makeup. Always remain light, but have fun to mix the shades that you'll show in your evening dress, too.
I remind you: if you are going to put a very eye-catching lipstick, make the make-up lighter on the eyes and vice versa.

 3. IL CORPO DEL REATO
Prestate attenzione alla postura del vostro corpo, cioè alla posizione che gli fate tenere: qui potreste guadagnare molti punti rispetto alle vostre amiche magre che, magari, però, tendono ad "ingobbirsi".
Avrete già capito che la parola d'ordine è "STARE DIRITTE"!
Immaginate che un filo invisibile attraversi la vostra colonna vertebrale ed esca dalla testa, appena dietro al centro, e che sia tirato verso il cielo. Il collo si allunga, le spalle si abbassano mettendo spazio tra loro e i lobi delle orecchie. Il mento si volge dolcemente verso il basso Le spalle si aprono all'indietro, il petto viene in fuori e la pancia rientra in dentro.
Camminate un po' così per casa per perdere quell'aria da "ho appena ingoiato una scopa" e vi assicuro che sembrerete molto più alte e slanciate. Avrete un che di regale, che hanno solo le modelle plus size professioniste.
Per le timide: non abbiate timore se siete molto formose e non vi va di spingere in fuori il petto: quello si noterebbe in qualsiasi posizione stiate, perciò è meglio una regina con un grande seno, che una versione femminile e pettoruta del "Gobbo di Notre Dame".

3. THE BODY OF EVIDENCE

Molte ragazze hanno l'incubo dei vestiti colorati, sostenendo che questo o quell'altro colore "le ingrassi". Perciò tendono a vestirsi di nero. Ho fatto una ricerca sul caso ed ho scoperto che è vero, sì, che il nero "sfinisca" la figura, ma è una peculiarità di tutti i colori a tinta unita: perciò vestiamoci di blu, di fucsia, di rosso, di arancione, di verde, del colore che amate di più perché la sua tinta unita vi aiuterà (insieme alla postura) ad apparire più magre.
Non mettete capi di abbigliamento più larghi della vostra taglia! Con il miraggio di coprire sedere, pancia e fianchi, finirete con camiciole che sembrano tende canadesi e che vi faranno apparire come Barbapapà!
Sì ai capi a più strati, sì ai tagli obliqui, ai cardigan lunghi aperti. Sì anche ai colli a "V" lunghi ed ampi, che slanciano il collo e l'intera figura, quindi sì anche alle camicie sbottonate e alle lunghe collane.
Per quanto riguarda le scarpe, consiglio i tacchi alti solo se l'unico tragitto dovete fare a piedi sarà "auto parcheggiata davanti al ristorante - tavolo della cena".Altrimenti opterei per una mezza altezza che vi slancerà ugualmente senza che il vostro peso vada a gravare su punti molto dolorosi del piede.
Se avete più giorni per prepararvi
Potete ispirarvi ai metodi delle star di Hollywood per dimostrare una o due taglie in meno. Fate un bel giro per le mercerie e i negozi di intimo più forniti (ultimamente ho comprato cosine non male anche al supermercato) e troverete canottiere modellanti, body contenitivi, pancerine, collants push-up e chi più ne ha più ne metta!
E questo era il metodo meno pazzo. Volete sentire quello più pazzo? Quando i vip vogliono "sgonfiarsi" rapidamenteper sfoggiare qualche abito ad una première, un paio di giorni prima prendono un lassativo o si fanno un clistere depurante. Benché faccia bene fare questo tipo di pulizie interne ogni tanto, questi due metodi non sono da ripetere spesso per non rischiare di irritare l'intestino e mettere sottosopra la flora batterica. D'accordo? Farete le brave? Bene.

4. LET'S JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER
Many girls have the nightmare of colorful clothes, claiming that this or that color "makes them look fatter". So they tend to wear black. I did a search on the case and found out that it's true, yes, that black slenders the figure, but it is a peculiarity of all solid colors: so dress in blue, fuchsia, red, orange, green, in the color you love the most because his solidity will help (along with the posture) to appear slimmer.  
Do not put clothes wider than your size! With the lure of cover your bum, belly and hips, you'll end up with shirts which seem ridge tents and that will make you look like Barbapapa!  
"Yes" to otfits formed byseveral layers, "yes" to oblique cuts, to long open cardigans. Yes also to long and wide "V" necks, which elongate the neck and the whole figure, then "yes" also to the unbuttoned shirts and long necklaces.  
As for the shoes, I recommend wearing high heels only if the only way you have to walk away is this: "car parked in front of the restaurant - the dinner table" . Otherwise, opt for a half-height heel that will equally make you look more slender, without your weight pushing down onto very painful points on the feet.  
If you have several days to prepare  
You can get inspiration from the methods of Hollywood stars to look one or two sizes smaller. Take a ride to the haberdashery shops and the most provided underwear shops (lately I've found not too bad things even at the supermarket) and you will find shaping undershirts, body restraints, belly restraints, push-ups stockings and so on and so forth. 

And this was the less crazy method. Do you want to hear the craziest? When celebrities want to "deflate" their tummies quickly in order to show off some clothes at a première, a couple of days before the event they take a laxative or have a purifying. Although it is good to do this kind of internal cleansing every now and then, these two methods are not to be repeated often in order not to irritate the intestines and put upside down the bacterial flora. Agree? Will you be good girls? Good.

5. IL PUNTO DI FORZA
Tutte noi abbiamo qualcosa di bello di noi stesse su cui puntare per farsi ricordare così: "E' vero che Marta è ingrassata, ma hai visto che sorriso solare e bellissimo? Non mi ricordavo che fosse così bello!"
Per una può essere il sorriso, per un'altra gli occhi, oppure la simpatia o l'abilità con cui sanno truccarsi. Le unghie ultimamente sono un grande catalizzatore di attenzione per via delle divertenti manicure che si possono sfoggiare.
Il punto di forza di ciascuna di noi è quel "qualcosa" che attira l'attenzione su di sé e fa passare quasi inosservati chili e chiletti. Per me, i miei punti di forza sono il make-up e il decolleté. Per voi?

4. THE STRONG POINT
